HR Technology Talent Management

Carnival of HR – July Edition

Here in Wisconsin we are getting ready for the state fair and the mad rush on Cream Puffs, Deep Fried Brandy Old Fashioned Cocktails and the WisConeSin (a Chicken Schnitzel wrapped in a potato pancake topped with a German Rotkohl and Cinnamon Apple Straws all sitting in a Pretzel cone).

I am also anxiously awaiting getting to go on Gravitron over and over…if you were a kid in the 80’s or 90’s – you will never forget Gravitron and the constant loop of Metallica and GNR they seemed to play on it.   Well, fast forward 25 years and my kids still get the benefit of hearing Metallica as they spin so fast they fly up on the sides of a grounded space ship.  Ahh, the carnival.

Speaking of Carnivals, this Month’s HR Carnival is full of Posts talking about Talent, Technology & Work.  Its like the fair – a little something for everyone…

If you are looking to have a bit more of a strategic impact overall, 3Plus International Coaching & Mentoring group asks why doesn’t HR do more for gender balance?  Is there such a thing as #pinksilos?

Also, keep an eye out on Simplicity @ the Other Side of Complexity Blog – They are getting ready to map out the HR/OD Functions in a serious of posts. This Part 1 explains the methods they will be using…

Finally…something a little close to my heart as we wrapped up phase 1 of a full home HGTV Property Brothers style renovation over the last 2 years…and start phase 2 next month…Naomi Bloom talks about Home remodeling, vendor selection and why we need to do our research and trust our instincts when they don’t work as they should with everyone from Plumbers to HR Tech Vendors.

If that isn’t enough, here on HRTechBlog.com we have been talking about what the Microsoft Acquisition of Linkedin Means; Why Innovation Historically Struggles in Larger Vendors; and Top Vendor User Conferences for 2016
